The company, which has become one of the most representative emerging firms in the field of Apulian wine, has always emphasized the unique connection between man and territory, in order to enhance those peculiarities which make of Salento one of the brightest stars in Italy’s oenological firmament.

Vinitaly 2011 will be a unique opportunity for Tenute Rubino to present, in a national preview, the result of its latest effort: a new collection of wines, developed upon those white and red autochthon varietals which have played a fundamental role in the development of the Apulian productive context. The new collection comprises four wines: two reds (Negroamaro and Primitivo), one white (Malvasia Bianca) and one rosé (Negroamaro Rosé). They are all monovarietal, and characterized by a price/quality ratio which will enhance their competitive edge in national and international markets.

The labels which we will reveal represent a concrete and significant answer by Tenute Rubino to those markets – and to neophytes in countries like Brazil and China in particular – which demand wines with a pleasant and pronounced territoriality, but positioned in an adequate price band'.

With these new wines, Luigi Rubino’s firm demonstrates once more its ability to respond with high-quality products to market tendencies, as well as to the demands of ever-more rigorous and informed consumers. The Mediterranean soul of these wines transpires through their pleasant freshness and naturality; the legacy of a thousand years of viticulture is inextricably entwined in their colour, in their aromas, and in their flavor. The four wines of this new oenological project will all be available for tasting at Tenute Rubino’s stand: Negroamaro Rosso 2008, Primitivo 2008, Malvasia Bianca 2010, Negroamaro Rosato 2010. Furthermore, the firm’s entire production range will be offered for sampling by Luigi Rubino and his staff. Tenute Rubino is not only about wine: over the past two years the Apulian firm has promoted several cultural events.

Territory and Culture are thus at the heart of the initiatives sponsored by Tenute Rubino in Salento, such as the theatre season Attimi di Scena (Nuovo Teatro Verdi, in Brindisi) and the International Short Film Festival Salento Finibus Terrae. The first edition (2010-11) of the Photography Contest Salento Photography Tellers has been a success: hundreds of artistic pictures portraying the soul of Salento are competing in the user-led voting process, which will continue on www.tenuterubino.it until the 30th of April.
