The 'Between the Ionic and the Adriatic: the infinity of the sea' section focuses on the seas of Salento, which are both its boundary and its key to the outside world. Photographers intending to compete in this section should point their lenses to everything related to the poetic allure of Salento’s seas: maritime panoramas, historical and touristic sites on the coastlands, seafaring activities, traditions, and people.

THE WOMEN’S HARVEST AT TENUTE RUBINO

The section: "The women’s harvest at Tenute Rubino" is a tribute of gratitude to those women which have kept alive the ancient bond between vines, wine and community, and which thus represent a unique and irreplaceable trait of Apulia and of its traditions. The pictures will have to interpret the work traditionally carried out by women at Tenute Rubino: an ancient custom of Salento, passed down from generation to generation, by means of which the women of the local communities have become the depositaries of an unparalleled mastery in the arts of viticulture – a trait which Tenute Rubino valorises attentively (to learn more about this tradition, please visit the following link: 'la vendemmia delle donne nel Salento'). The photographers will have the chance of moving freely throughout Tenute Rubino’s Jaddico Estate - which lies next to the Adriatic Sea, eight kilometers north of Brindisi – and of interacting with the estate’s highly specialized personnel.  For further details on how to compete in this section, please read article 7 of the rulebook.
