For the Gambero Rosso 'Vini d'Italia 2009' wine guide, Tenute Rubino has created one of the most important wineries in the Brindisi area.
For the Gambero Rosso 'Vini d’Italia 2009' guide 'in just a few years, the Rubino family has created one of the most important wineries in the Brindisi area. This is not only true in the quantitative sense but above all in a qualitative sense with a series of labels that speak of their heritage and are rightfully at the top of the oenological culture of Apulia'.
This is an evaluation given by the well-known guide to Italian wines, listing the Apulian winery in the years 2003, 2004 and 2005 among the very best and assigning it the high 3 Bicchieri award respectively to the Visellio 2001, the Torre Testa 2001 and, again, to the Torre Testa 2002; we read in the edition of 2003: 'the prodigal child of the Apulian vineculture has achieved its first positive results, which, we would like to add, will not be the last ones".
The Rubino family has obtained the coveted ‘3 Bicchieri’ award with their Visellio 2001. And again, in 2004: 'it is difficult to express a surprise for the success of Tenute Rubino, which by now is one of the most important wineries of Apulia. Not only did they achieve the prize of the 3 glasses last year with their extraordinary Torre Testa 2001, 100% Susumaniello in it’s first year of production, but also placed another wine in the final and above all their whole production is based on their 2 glasses status, a guarantee of the optimal work performed.'
The consecration from the Gambero Rosso guide appeared in the 2005 edition, when 'for the third consecutive year Tenute Rubino achieved the distinctive award of ‘3 Bicchieri.’ The 180 hectares of property, more than half a million of bottles produced, great dedication from the Rubino family, the oenologist Luca Petrelli and the 'super consultant' Riccardo Cotarella, have brought up this winery to the top of the national level in only 4 years.'
