The Guide Vini Buoni d’Italia, edited by Luigi Cremona and Mario Busso has only words of praise for Tenute Rubino. In 2004 it wrote: "En plein of Luigi Rubino who won the Corona with the Punta Aquila 2002, but displays all his wines at excellent levels".
In 2005 won the Corona with Torre Testa 2002. This confirms its distinctive feature of great and elegant wine, full and round with aromas of undergrowth and more particularly, with a wide and persistent mouth, which closes on a slightly toasted base. However, another wine conquered the spotlight: "Excellent was also the Visellio 2003, 100% Primitivo: mature pulp, supported by good acidity."
In 2006, when the Torre Testa 2003 won this recognition, the guide adjusts the previous idea of it being a bit too pleasing and says: "Luigi Rubino has clear ideas and choices consistent with keeping track of the market as well as the development of the territorial vines".
The positive results achieved should have all those who follow international models reflect. 'The Torre Testa 2003 reconfirms itself an elegant wine, capable of combining extractive power and elegance, with hints of undergrowth, spices and coffee, merging into ripe fruit on the palate that expands giving tastes of liquorice and roasted notes in a long and persistent finish".
In 2007 the Visellio 2004 won the Corona: "the Torre Testa 2004 shows its high stature: an impetuous fruit surrounded by roasted sweet and spicy hints in perfect harmony, emerging again in the palate where it shows a great structure. Good results achieved the 2004 Visellio in which the fruit returned to get the better of the wood. Once again the Jaddico confirms itself a premium Negroamaro, perhaps slightly exuberant in the wood. Immediate and pleasant is the Saturnino Rosato."
