The annual event in which Tenute Rubino opens the doors of Jaddico took place this year on Saturday, September 2: it was an intense day entirely dedicated to this Salento tradition, where everyone had the opportunity to closely discover the production values of the Rubino family, and cut the first clusters of the prized Susumaniello, the company’s flagship grape variety.
On Saturday, September 12, Tenute Rubino opened the doors of the Jaddico vineyard for “The Women’s Harvest.” It was a grand celebration in the countryside, open to families and enthusiasts, where everyone had the opportunity to discover a story rooted in the rural culture of Salento, rewritten with the passion and production values of the Rubino family.
The Women’s Harvest. On Saturday, September 13, Tenute Rubino celebrated the grape harvest with a double event dedicated to wine lovers: at the Jaddico Estate, guests could watch the harvest by directly cutting the clusters from the vines and participate in a vineyard lunch. At the winery, an emotional journey was inaugurated, dedicated to the Women’s Harvest and the agricultural estates that make up the “Rubino universe.”
The Womes’s Harvest 2013 The “Women’s Harvest” is repeated on Saturday 14th September and has become an unmissable event for wine lovers, the culmination of an activity carried out by women in the fields with skill and expertise throughout the entire year. During the harvest, sometimes, the women start to sing to maintain a rhythm in their work. This singing begins as a call from one row of vines to another, starting softly, then gradually gaining momentum, involving all the women engaged in the harvest. This technique helps them focus and “build teamwork,” naturally and familiarly sharing this moment of “celebration and joy” that characterizes the harvest in Salento.
The Women’s Harvest-Saturday 2010 In a production process focused on excellence, the contribution of specialized and competent labor is essential. With these considerations in mind Tenute Rubino initiated the “Women’s Harvest,” a project aimed at enhancing the work in the vineyards, especially in the agricultural sector, which is one of the key factors in the production process. A grand celebration was held at the estate on Saturday 18th, to honor a tradition typical of the Salento area.
