For the third consecutive year, Tenute Rubino is a Sustainable Winery certified by Equalitas.

Tenute Rubino reaffirms its commitment to sustainability, earning for the third consecutive year the certification from the leading organization in the agro-viticultural sector. This important recognition highlights the work done and the investment in systemic policies aimed at reducing environmental impact as much as possible and asserting the socio-economic sustainability of the territories.

Tenute Rubino - Equalitas ertificazione 2024

Tenute Rubino continues to enhance its sustainability profile, renewing for the third consecutive year the Equalitas Corporate certification, which also attests the company as a Sustainable Winery for 2024: a recognition awarded to wine companies capable of adhering to the pillars of environmental, economic, and ethical-social sustainability. These aspects are well integrated into the various phases of the production chain, resulting in the adoption and improvement of “best practices” to minimize environmental impact.

In addition to the best practices implemented over the years, 2024 has seen the launch of studies on the carbon footprint, water footprint, and the calculation of the biodiversity indicator, namely the soil index analyzed through the QBS-ar methodology to identify the biological quality of the soil in relation to the presence of microarthropods. The results have shown a positive assessment, particularly in the Padula di Geremia, Jaddico, and Uggio-Punta Aquila estates, which have recorded a nominal value between 166 and 172, corresponding to soil of excellent quality. These areas are dedicated not only to grapevines but also to spontaneous melliferous crops that promote biodiversity and enrich the soil with different species.

Another fundamental indicator under Equalitas Corporate’s “microscope” is ethical-social sustainability. This principle is highly valued by the company, which has always invested in enhancing human capital within its business, increasingly focusing on the training and growth of its personnel.

In 2023, another 200 hours of training activities were recorded in various fields: from workplace safety to quality, from the world of export, through updates on customs practices for import-export, to the marketing and wine tourism sector, and project management. Through the Equalitas — Sustainable Winery certification, the company has adopted an internal ‘Sustainability Management’ system and annually publishes a report of its financial statements on the company website, as a guarantee of transparency towards all customers. “This aspect of the Equalitas certification,” says Romina Leopardi, marketing & communication director of Tenute Rubino, “serves to strengthen our position and provide a snapshot of our actions and relationship with the territory in which we operate.”
