The world of art meets the world of wine: ALCHIMIE is born
On December 20th, we present ALCHIMIE, a journey through contemporary sculpture and wine culture where matter, light, and landscape converse in a single, vibrant sensory experience.
The project was born from the desire to continue RAP’s vision and, while awaiting the new headquarters, finds an evocative setting in the panoramic corridor overlooking the barrel cellar, transformed on this occasion into a space suspended between scents, silences, shapes, and creative ferment.
The inauguration of the series, conceived and curated with skillful vision by Romina Leopardi, Marketing and Communications Director of Tenute Rubino, will take place with the first event intertwining sculptural art and wine culture.
ALCHIMIE is not a simple exhibition but an experiential, multisensory, and immersive journey where wine and art dialogue through profound affinities: time, transformation, the layering of matter, and the care of the gesture.
The curation of the entire series is signed by Ilaria Caravaglio, who has designed an itinerary in four chapters, entrusting each artist with a space to imagine, shape, and inhabit. The uniqueness of the project lies in giving the artists full freedom to design their exhibition environment: not just a simple placement of works, but an architectural fusion between space and creation, between the memory of the place and contemporary vision.
One location, Tenute Rubino; one exciting series that transforms the cellar into a space where creativity and emotion merge into a single, engaging experience: 4 events, 4 artists, and 4 different ways of interpreting art that comes to life and transforms, becoming, through various materials, a message and a dialogue between the artist and the visitor.
Artists & schedule
Renzo Buttazzo — “FERMENTA | The energy that transforms”
Opening: December 20, 2025
Artist’s aperitif: January 17, 2026
Closing: January 30, 2026
Buttazzo — master of Lecce stone — infuses the material with a vibration both archaic and contemporary. Sculptures that seem to emerge from a distant time and, in dialogue with the soft lights of the cellar, resonate with poetic echoes.
Gianluca Marinelli — “CORPO LIQUIDO | Matter, sensuality, vibrations”
Opening: February 20, 2026
Artist’s aperitif: March 14, 2026
Closing: April 3, 2026
Marinelli’s plastic investigation — suspended between imperfection and harmony — brings ceramic works capable of retaining the memory of the gesture. His pieces, often marked by a calm dynamism and a subtle narrative tension, will build an intimate, material space where clay becomes story, waiting, and revelation.
Riccardo Masini — “MEMORIE DI TANNINO | Time, sedimentation, memory”
Opening: April 24, 2026
Artist’s aperitif: May 9, 2026
Closing: June 5, 2026
With Masini, wood becomes poetic architecture — a living organism that bends, breathes and regenerates. His sculptures, born from a deep listening to the material, initiate a dialogue with the slow rhythm of the barrels, creating a perceptual environment in which nature, form and memory intertwine.
Daniele Papuli — “EXTRAVERGINE | Nature, roots, return to origin”
Opening: June 26, 2026
Closing: September 19, 2026
To close the cycle is Daniele Papuli, a paper‑artist able to transform a humble material into vibrant, wavy, luminous matter. His installations — light, enveloping, surprising — introduce a finale of great sensory impact: an immersive fresco that seems to breathe with the space.
This is a journey to pause, observe, taste. Each exhibition will be accompanied by a dedicated tasting evening, where the public can discover a deeper dialogue between the artist’s poetics and the living matter of wine — in a symphony of aromas, textures and suggestions.
ALCHIMIE is an invitation to slowly wander through a place that transforms with each chapter, letting oneself be surprised by the metamorphosis of matter and the creative intelligence of the artists. A project that celebrates the fertile blend of contemporary art and wine culture, in the name of elegance, research and shared experience.
